Preparing your child for the dentist with BOOKS!
Books are a fantastic way to prepare your child for their first or upcoming visit with the dentist. Children’s dental books can teach them about brushing, counting their teeth, and the importance of seeing their North Vancouver dentist regularly. Here are some of my favourites, to prepare your child for the dentist:
Sesame Street Ready, Set, Brush!
This is a pop-up book by Sesame Street that can teach your child about brushing and visiting the dentist. Elmo, Zoe and their friends from Sesame Street show how brushing is fun. This is a wonderful book for the toddler age group! It’s colourful and fun.
Brush Your Teeth Please!
This pop-up book by Leslie Mcguire shows different animals opening wide while brushing their teeth. Use this book to teach your child to open wide, so that brushing can be done more thoroughly. This book is great for toddlers learning to brush.
The Berenstain Bears Visit the Dentist
This paperback book by Stan and Jan Berenstain prepares your child for their visit to the dentist. Mama, Papa, Brother and Sister bear go to the dentist to get checked for cavities and have their teeth cleaned. This book is great for ages 3 and up.
Superbug Doug: All About Cavities, Plaque and Teeth
This paperback book by Ben Magleby is a great educational tool for the 4-10 year olds. This children’s book explains how sugarbugs destroy teeth and what causes dental disease. Children will be empowered to learn how to stop the sugarbugs and have healthy teeth.
Enjoy reading with your children and preparing them for their next dental visit with your North Vancouver dentist.
